Bail Bond Services
Minneapolis Bail Bonds provides licensed surety bail bond services in the state of Minnesota. All services are provided in compliance with Minnesota law and the regulations of the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The bail bond premium rate is set at 10% of the total bail amount as required by Minnesota law.
The Co-Signer Agreement
When you co-sign a bail bond, you agree to be financially responsible for ensuring the defendant appears at every scheduled court date. If the defendant fails to appear in court, you may be liable for the full bail amount. Read the co-signer agreement carefully before signing.
The Bail Bond Premium
The 10% bail bond premium is fully earned once the bond is posted with the court or jail. The premium is not refundable regardless of the outcome of the case, including if charges are dropped or the defendant is found not guilty.
Defendant Court Obligations
As a condition of the bail bond, the defendant must appear at every court date as scheduled. Missing any court date may result in bail forfeiture, a bench warrant for arrest, and financial liability for the co-signer.
